Nancy Di Fabbio

American author. Nancy Di Fabbio was a horse-mad child, but as an adult embarked on a career as a successful designer of wedding dresses. When her own children became interested in horses, Nancy's love for equines was re-kindled. She ended up not only with horses of her own, but also writing about them, including both a
non-fictional guide and a children's supernatural pony novel about a Morgan horse. In addition she writes a newspaper column for children based on her five own horses.

SUMMARY: Supernatural children's story with a horsy hero based on the author's own Morgan, Trinity. Horse-mad but horse-less teen Mattie goes to spend the summer with her grandmother. In the attic there she discovers a painting of a horse and wishes it would become real. She takes the painting home with her and finds herself becoming more and more immersed in the fantasy that the painted horse is real. Then one day she finds a wild horse in the woods which looks just like the horse in the painting. Could she somehow have made him come to life….?
